Yesterday I caught someone with a full inventory of diamond blocks, and he said there was a way to dupe items. Today I caught another person with an almost-full inventory of diamond blocks, and he also said there was a way to dupe items. I couldn't find any info on this. The second one said it involves NoCheat lagging/kicking people but signed off before explaining it, so there's a 50/50 chance he was just making stuff up. Does anyone know how to perform this glitch and/or how to stop it from happening?

Quote from I actually saw this somewhere in youtube, its related to when a server admin reloads the server, or the server automatically reloads, they place all their starting diamonds in a chest seconds before the reload, and transfer it to another chest and when the reload is done, it doubles. My information may not be completely exact but that is what I remember. I know of that one but it's very difficult to pull off. Besides good admin's will do a full reload very rarely, it breaks all kinds of stuff.

It was related to restarting the server or stopping and starting it, and if the players knew it was about to happen they could exploit it.

I'll just post the NoCheat bug too - he created a script that deliberately dropped his entire inventory fast enough to get NoCheat to immediately kick him for drop spam, and when he logged back in the items he dropped would still be in his inventory (plus on the floor where he dropped them). I ended up disabling the inventory checks for now until I figure out a better fix. Quote from Yeah, that happened a few times, but for some reason it doesn't happen anymore.

This is one of those mods that you can be 99% sure they're using a hacked client. NoCheat+ bans people who use drop hacks by default.

I would be careful disabling the checks, without drop checks a small team of griefers could easily crash the server. Quote from An easy fix would be to change the kick to a ban.

It's kicked people before for manually pressing Q too fast when they were just having fun and dropping useless items at the hot tub we have at spawn. Since a number of legitimate players have been kicked for that, I'm not sure if changing it to ban would be good because we'd be banning legit players too.

Also, what if a player just happens to have a ton of stuff in his inventory and then he dies, does he get banned? I have seen people get kicked for that as well. NoCheat+ (and regular nocheat as far as I know) will check if they died before banning someone for drop hacks, as for legit drops, unless they have a rapid fire mouse or a seriously bad connection NoCheat will only recognize it as a hack if they drop an impossible amount of items (we're talking multiple stack of items in under a 20 ticks, 20 ticks = 1 second).

If you're worried about banning legit players then switch to NoCheat+, you can set it to totally cancel drops that happen too fast. This might. of legit players who lose items but honestly I don't see how you could trigger this without hacks. Maybe NoCheat is too outdated? When I tested NoCheat+ you have to drop almost an entire full inventory to get banned, it would be impossible to Q all that in time. I tested Q-spamming myself and can confirm that NoCheat does kick for this, and I don't recall changing any of the settings.

Minecraft Book Dupe

Quote from This duping bug has been around for ages. I was playing on icanhasgrief.com about a month and a half ago and trolling the spawn by spawnkilling with my friends who like griefing. They ended up duping diamonds using this exact glitch, although the plugin kicking them was SpamGuard. We got so rich we could afford the bedrock block they sold in the spawn for 99999999 dollars. They duped that and then hell broke loose.

So is banning people who drop too fast the only way to prevent it?
